During the debate, Romney questioned Obama on whether he called Benghazi an act of terror in the rose garden speech. Knowing he didn’t, Obama said “please continue”. Romney said to Crowley, “I want to be sure we get that for the record.” Crowley replied, “he did in fact, sir (call it an act of terror).” Obama bellows, “Can you say that a little louder Candy?” See the video from the debate. (50 sec).
After the debate, Crowley reverses herself saying Romney was “right in the main” (that the Obama statement of “acts of terror” did not relate to Benghazi). See the video of her reversal. (20 sec).
Will we see this on the nightly news tomorrow? Perhaps Ms. Crowley spent a bit too much time at the Anheuser-Busch hospitality tent drinking free beer prior to the debate which was apparently “very busy”.
Employers are beginning to consider Obamacare imposed fines of $3000 per full time employee and are starting to experiment with cutting those 40 hour weeks to 30 hour weeks to avoid the fines. Shifting more workers to part-time status to avoid providing coverage is being explored by several large US employers including Darden Restaurants (Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and others), one of the nation’s top 30 employers with over 185,000 employees. An article in the Orlando Sentinel states other companies, including the White Castle hamburger chain, are also considering the same. McDonald’s is also looking at its number of full time workers.
Darden states this test is taking place in ‘a select number’ of restaurants in four markets, including Central Florida. But you have to wonder how many other employers, including maybe your own, are considering similar moves. What would a 25% decrease in the hours you are working mean to your paycheck, to your lifestyle? Further, do you work for a company with 50-70 employees? Employers with over 50 employees are also affected by the Obamacare fines. Any employer with 60 full-time employees is probably looking at cutting 10 of those positions and hiring part-time employees.
The attack on the Benghazi compound in Libya was an act of terrorism and the White House knew it even when they trotted out Susan Rice, Ambassador to the U.N. on the Sunday talk shows last week to continue the party line that it was an unforeseen result of some silly youtube movie. The White House had information months prior to the attack from the CIA regarding lack of security at the compound which was ignored. Darrell Issa has written a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton demanding details of the earlier requests for more security which were denied.
Trotting out some gigantic lie to excuse yourself from being responsible, how can the American government ever think the American public will believe this cock and bull story? This is just an exercise in changing the facts to meet your narrative. In order for Ambassador Rice to believe this, the CIA would have totally screwed up; they didn’t. The cover up makes it worse. The cover up is the problem and it makes it worse for the American public, the world’s view of America, and for the American press which now are just the Palace Guards willing to swallow any party line. How is this story is not all over the news? How will it probably not even be mentioned in the debates? Mitt? Hello?
The Spanish language station Univision has linked more and more fast and furious weapons to various murders around Juarez, Mexico, including murders of Mexican high school students at a birthday party. Weapons provided by ATF and U.S. Department of Justice have previously been linked to the murders of employees of the American consulate and the murder of Brian Terry. Border Patrol Agent Nicholas Ivie was shot and killed in the line of his duty investigating drug runners. At this time however, there is no indication that the weapons used in the muder of Agent Ivie were in any way connected with fast and furious.
Somehow, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder continues to evade resignation, even prosecution, over fast and furious and hides behind Dear Leader’s claim of executive privilege. Paul Ryan, and many others, are calling for his resignation. How about prosecuting the Department of Justice under the Rico Statutes? This is the definition of organized crime and a continuing criminal enterprise.
This newly released video from 2007 shows Our Dear Leader addressing a group of black ministers and embracing and praising the racist Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s pastor of twenty years. Of course, in 2008, Obama later distanced himself from the said Reverend Wright due his militant beliefs. Other than the actual words spoken by Obama praising Wright, it’s the Malcom X-ish tone of voice of his delivery that is revealing. The American public has never heard that tone of voice and accent in our Dear Leader. Less than one year later, Obama would denounce Wright, his views, beliefs, and preaching, that he so warmly embraces in this video.
First, the free Obamaphones. How do you get one?
So, vote Obama for a free cell phone!! (video)
But what is it really? Another abused, poorly administered, government program that we all pay for on our cellphone bills. Rep. Tim Griffin R-Ark. has proposed a bill to eliminate federal subsidies for free cell phones. See video here that explains how it all started, where it is now, what it costs ($1.6 Billion in 2011), and how to end it.
Second, let’s combine the free Obamaphone and add $11/hour from SEIU (Service Employees International Union) and get some buses, pick up as many homeless, unemployed people we can find, and haul them all to an anti-Romney rally. See video here.
Finally, let’s hope Romney shows up for the debates.
On one hand, the Administration was clinging to the “it was the movie” line to explain the preplanned attack on the Libyan Consulate which resulted in four preventable murders. But then, CNN finds the diary of deceased Chris Stevens and reveals his concern over Islamic extremism. In an extreme case of shooting the messenger, the administration then calls CNN’s use of the information indefensible and disgusting.
Come on, we know it’s the movie, we didn’t drop the ball here! We’re sorry for the movie, really we are.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Thursday she has “absolutely no information or reason to believe there is any basis” to suggest that U.S. ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens believed he was on an al Qaeda hit list.
CNN found the journal and “a source familiar with Stevens’ thinking told CNN earlier this week that, in the months leading up to his death, the late ambassador worried about what he called the security threats in Benghazi and a rise in Islamic extremism.”
But, regardless, Dear Leader and Hillary Clinton continue to apologize and actually BUY time “on television channels in Pakistan with President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton disavowing an anti-Islamic film that triggered riots.”
Truth and honesty? Transparency?
